Learning, Laughing & Leveling Up: Universal Metro at Big D’s Customer Appreciation Event

Some days remind us exactly why we love what we do — and Big D’s Customer Appreciation Event was one of those days! Our Universal Metro team spent a sun-soaked afternoon surrounded by great people, good food, and the kind of hands-on learning that makes this industry so rewarding.

A Day of Appreciation and Action

Big D Supply knows how to say “thank you” in style. Their customer appreciation event brought together flooring professionals, vendors, and partners for a day filled with energy, laughter, and education.

We kicked things off catching up with familiar faces — partners, suppliers, and friends we’ve worked alongside for years. The atmosphere was buzzing with positivity, music in the background, and plenty of smiles all around.

But this wasn’t your average appreciation lunch. Big D turned the parking lot into a mini-trade show, with tents, tool demos, and stations where guests could learn by doing.

Hands-On Training Meets Team Bonding

Our crew loved rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in the hands-on flooring tool demonstrations. From testing precision tile cutters to trying out the latest in adhesive technology, it was part training, part friendly competition — and entirely fun.

One of the biggest hits of the day? The ride-on floor scraper demonstration — the bright green Wolff Independence Ride-on floor stripper machine that had everyone taking turns for a spin (and a few laughs). Watching team members test real-world equipment in action added a whole new dimension to the customer appreciation event, showing just how connected craftsmanship and community can be.

The experience gave our team not just product insight, but also a deeper appreciation for the technology that keeps our industry moving forward.

Good Food and Great Company

Of course, no customer appreciation event is complete without amazing food — and Big D delivered. From hot-off-the-grill bites to sweet treats, the lunch tables became a hub for laughter, shared stories, and a few well-deserved breaks from the workweek hustle.

Between demos and delicious meals, there was plenty of time for camaraderie. Our Universal Metro team connected with fellow flooring professionals and even made a few new friends — proof that great things happen when the industry comes together.
